First Blog in a LONG time!

I can't even begin to imagine all of the changes that have occured since we last updated the blog. Sydney is almost 3 and a half and there is another little baby on the way! So I will start updating regularly now.

Happy August!

Well time is sure flying by these days. Sydney will be 20 months old in 3 days! She is talking so much now. She is putting 2-3 words together and is repeating EVERYTHING that we say!
We just started swim lessons yesterday. The lessons are "drowning prevention" lessons through ISR (Infant Swim Resource) It is a great program that will teach her to float on her back and swim to the side of a pool if she ever were to accidentally fall in. It was a little rough her first day yesterday. Needless to say is was rough for BOTH of us. The instructor will put the child under the water. Of course Sydney did not like this one bit. She cried a lot and was totally exhausted at the end!
I do not have pictures at this time but as the lessons progress will add pics! Wish us luck today!!

Happy Fourth of July! Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. We had a great day! We went to our friend Melissa's house and went to a festival. After that we watched beautiful fireworks. Sydney really enjoyed the fireworks and kept saying they were"pretty" and "boom" and "wow"... The loud noise didn't bother her at all and she had a great time.

We have been keeping really busy with the zoo, splashparks, beach and other summertime activities. Sydney is really enjoying camp and comes home totally exhausted!

We also recently went and visited Aunt April and cousins Julie and Nick. All the kids as well as the adults had a blast!

Beach Day

On Sunday we went to the beach with our friends and we had a great time! We got to do a lot of fun activities at the beach. We played in the sand and Sydney and Daddy threw the football around a bit. Sydney loved the water and was screaming with joy every time a wave came in!

It was a really great day!

On the road

Well, we had a very busy week! Tuesday was Sydney's first day of camp. She had a lot of fun !
The kids went outside and played in the water. They do a lot of water activities with the hose. Which is so great since it is so hot out!
Sydney got to bring her new Dora backpack and lunchbox to camp, which is bigger than she is!
She has 2 new teachers and 1 of the same ones from during the year.

Weds and Thurs we drove down to see Great Grandma and Great Aunt! We had a lot of fun and also got to see some of our friends.
We drove all the way down Weds morning and then back up Thursday afternoon. Sydney did well in the car. She enjoyed her visit and enjoyed seeing her family!

Tumble Bumble

Sydney is enrolled in tumble class at the YMCA. This is the beginner gymnastics class. At first she was a little shy when it came to some of the activities. Now she loves to tumble on the mats and loves to walk on the balance beam. She has really good balance too!

Disney World

Ok I am backtracking a bit.

Saturday we took Syd to Disney World. She had a GREAT time. We met Chris's sister and her family there. Sydney loved the rides. She called them "weeeeees". When a ride would stop she would clap and ask for more. I think her favorite was Buzz Lightyear.

She also had a great time with her cousins, especially Julie. She would only hold Julie's hand and when we tried to hold her hand she went back to Julie. It was really sweet.

I guess she was really tired out because she slept for 12 hours the night we got home. Then the next day took a 4 hour nap and then went to bed at 5pm!

First Entry

Hi there everyone. I am starting this blog so friends and family can keep up with the everchanging and fast growing Sydney. I will post pics and enter new milestones here so check in and you can grown with her too!
This morning we went to the zoo and had a great time. We rode the train, saw a bunch a different animals then went to the splash park area of the zoo. Sydney loved the train and when it stopped she wanted to go again! She kept saying "choo choo"....

Sydney will be starting summer camp at the preschool that she attended. There are 2 summer sessions. One for the month of June and one for the month of July.
They will be doing a lot of fun summer activities including water activities, which are Sydney's favorite. I will post pics for that once it starts. We will also attend swim lessons. So I will also post about that and how we are progressing.
